Production & Sourcing Assistant

JACK ROGERS is looking for an experienced and passionate Production & Sourcing Assistant that can work independently to develop and execute against plans, and a team player that works well with cross-functional teams and external partners.

The Production & Sourcing Assistant will be an integral member of our Production & Sourcing team, as well as acting as a liaison between Merchandising, Design, and Product Development. The overall aim of this role is to assist with the essential duties of production and overseeing development and orders from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem solving skills and is serious about having a career.  The ultimate goal of this role is to implement best-in-class processes and procedures for the team and act as a critical member to support the production and sourcing functionality of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and follow up with domestic and overseas vendors on a daily basis
  • Liaision between internal teams (product development, design, merchandising) to ensure the approval of samples and meet the production schedule deadlines
  • Maintain and Implement costing calendar with factories
  • Track costing by season/stage in costing file
  • Analyze cost breakdown sheets in comparison to like styles, countersourced styles, etc
  • Follow up, review and maintain the organizing of test reports
  • Order and Inspect Corporate Test samples
  • Track and Evaluate damages and production defects
  • Assist in the sourcing aspect of all materials from 1st proto through Production
  • Organize samples/swatches sent from suppliers
  • Actively participate in Fit sessions
  • Manage Monogram Program on a daily/weekly basis
  • Follow up with factories on production deliverables on a daily/weekly basis
  • Issue PO’s to factories using A2000
  • Assist in building Seasonal Buy Sheets
  • Approve inventory allocation across each channels warehouse
  • Manage transfer requests within virtual warehouses


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion or Business related field
  • 2-3 years of industry experience; including internships
  • Knowledge of the shoe industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage several projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook
